Unicef: Slay the Monster

Challenge

  • One of the charities that Unicef helps to support, The Spread the Net campaign, which purchases Malaria nets and sends them to Africa, needed to spread the word about this cause to people online. They wanted to reach out to people and help them identify how scary it can be for children to have to worry about the monsters that come into their bedrooms at night, namely the mosquito, which carries the deadly malaria virus.

Solution

  • Lush helped to describe this 'monster story' by allowing users on the website to create their own avatar, or digital likeness, which could be placed in written story about a child 'slaying the monster'. The story can be viewed in the flash application as well as created into a pdf and printed or emailed to friends so that they can also help in the donation of the much needed nets.
