PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Lush Concepts was brought on board this collaborative project to design a companion site for a pitch being developed for the Canadian Olympic Committee. The website needed to showcase the central feature of the pitch – Olympic trading cards that would feature Canadian Olympic athletes. The design had to be exciting and fresh, while maintaining a tight link to the rich history of the Olympic games.


APPROACH

We created a unique user interface that utilized the trading cards, which were being pitched, as the site’s navigation. When a user clicks on an athlete’s card they are automatically brought to that Olympian’s page, which showcases video, photos, and text related to the athlete’s journey to the Olympics. Because the project was only an introductory pitch, we successfully completed it on a very tight budget. The final product put an original spin on the Olympics.
